- Only West Bengal residents are eligible for the Boyosko Vata.
- The age of the applicants must be 60 years or more. For pensioners who are physically or mentally disabled, the age limit is 55 years,
- This scheme is only for persons belonging to the weaker economic section or poor background (BPL).
- If any person is already getting any type of other pension like disability, widow, farmer etc. from state or central government, they are not eligible for this scheme.

- The Boyosko Vata application process is offline. To apply for this scheme, follow the steps:-
- Collect the application form from the panchayat office/Block office.
- Fill this application form with all details like name, age, gender, address, etc.
- Attach all the necessary documents with this form and submit it to the concerned authority.
- In rural areas, you can submit it to the BDO Office, and in municipal areas, submit it to the municipal office.
- After submission, receive an acknowledgement slip for future reference.
