WBPDS Portal is also known as the West Bengal Public Distribution System portal. It comes under the Department of Food and Supply, Government of West Bengal. The main URL is food.wb.gov.in. In one place, you will get all ration card-related services. On this portal, you will get services like Digital Ration Card (e-Ration Card), apply for a new card, correction of an old ration card, check the status of your card and download the ration card online. All these services are now available online on this portal, and you don’t need to visit a government office.
WBPDS Portal
In West Bengal, the e-Ration card serive alos know as Khadya Sathi, was initially started on 27th January 2026. This replaced the old paper ration card system, and the digital ration card era started at that time. According to the official WBPSD Portal, there are a total of 8,73,52,069 ration cards in the state. These are 8,67,20,388 ration cards linked with Aadhaar. 1,93,74669 mobile numbers are linked with Ration cards.
If we see the applications, then the total number of applications submitted for Ration card related serives are 4,05,96,758. There are 3,70,93,535 Applciation are approved, and 23,21,446 applications rejected. 3,94,14,981 applications have been disposed of till date. This data is collated on 23rd of September 2026.

WBPDS Portal Ration Card Status
This facility to check WBPDS Ration Card Status is available on the official web portal.
On the home page scorll down and go to the Special Services section. The 3rd Option is Check status of Ration card application. Select this option.
On the status page, select Search type. In this, you can search with Aadhaar number or mobile number.
For example you choose mobile number, then enter the mobile number and click on the search button.
If you choose Aadhaar number, then fill in the Aadhaar number, give your consent, and click on the search button. After OTP Verfication you application status will be shown on the screen.
