New chief minister of West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, recently announced the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme. Under this scheme, eligible women of the state will receive Rs 3000 monthly financial support. This support will be provided directly into their bank account. This is the promise made by the BJP before the Vidhan Sabha elections. Now elections are over, and the BJP has come into power. Out of 294 seats, bjp get 207 seats. The main competitor of the BJP is the TMC, who get only 80 seats in this election. So the BJP got a clear majority in this election, and now they form their government in West Bengal.

Annapurna Bhandar Scheme

Before the legislative election in West Bengal, the BJP made a promise to the moment of state that they will provide them 3000 rupees monthly. With the scheme, there are lots of other schemes mentioned in their election Manifesto. But this is the main scheme through which eligible women will get this financial support. In a recent announcement, CM Suvendu Adhikari announced that the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme will start from the 1st of June all over the state.

They also give direction to the officials to implement this scheme. With this announcement, one of the other announcements they made is the free bus travel for women. It is also a very good gift for the moments in which they will get free bus travel in government transport. All these decisions will be taken in the first cabinet meeting of the West Bengal government, in which all the senior bureaucrats and cabinet ministers are present.

Annapurna Bhandar Scheme is a proposed scheme in the BJP manifesto, which will now replace the previous government’s Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme. Eligibility Criteria for Women’s

The new West Bengal government has not officially released the exact eligibility criteria list for this scheme. According to their announcement and Manifesto, the basic eligibility criteria we are going to share in this post:-

• Only women are eligible for this scheme.
• The permanent residents of Westmen walls are eligible to apply.
• The applicant should belong to a low-income family or the economically weaker section.
• Your annual income will be within the limits set by the government.
• Applicant age should be above 25 years.
• You should have a Ration card from category BPL/AAY or PHH.

Non-Eligible

• Government employees, permanent and retired, are not eligible.
• If you are a non-resident of West Bengal are not eligible.

Financial Support Under the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme

In the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme, the West Bengal government provide a financial support of Rs 3000 per month directly into the beneficiary account via DBT. There is no middleman involved in this whole process. Your bank account should be linked to your Aadhaar Number.

According to the news, both online and offline modes are available when this scheme registration starts. Right now, the registration process is not open, and it will start soon. There is no official website started by the state government.

With government camps, you can also do offline registration through block offices, municipality offices and Gram panchayats.
