Schemes Benefits To Registered Fisherman

WB Samudra Sathi Scheme	Under this scheme, financial assistance will be given to the beneficiaries at the time of the annual fishing ban. So all the registered fishermen of the state will get the same benefits
Fisherman Old Age Pension Scheme	After attaining old age, the registered fishermen of the state registered with the Fisheries Department of West Bengal get the monthly old age pension amount of Rs.1,000
WB Matsyajeebi Bandhu Scheme	Under this scheme, one-time financial assistance will be given to the family of the Fisherman after his/her death

Eligibility Requirement

• The person can be the permanent residents of the West Bengal state or living in the state from last 10 years or more.
• The applicant can be involved in fisheries-related activities like:- Fish Farming, Fish catching, Crab Catching, Fish Vending, Boat Making, Hatcheru work, etc.

• First Phase copy of the Bank passbook
• Fish-related activity certificate issued by the Local Officials like Gram Panchayat Pradhan or Members.
• Category certificate like SC/ST or OBC Certificate
• Lease or Agreement of the property, like Land or Water body documents, where the same activities are done.

How to Apply For West Bengal Fisherman Registration Card?

• First of all you need to collect the application form from the Fisheries Department or download from Official portal and then have to fill the same.
• Now need to attach all the required documents to the form and submit it to the Fisheries Extension Officers.
• After submitting the application along with documents, you can get the acknowledgement receipt, and then your documents undergo verification.
• After successful verification, the department issues the Registration Card to the eligible Fisherman.
