Utsashree Portal for Teachers Transfer: Login, Status

Utsashree V1 0 Portal is started to give benefits to teachers who need Transfer from one location to other. Teachers will be transferred under some rules and regulations. This comes under the School Education Department, West Bengal. If any applicants fulfil the eligibility criteria for transfer, then follow the process.

After a Long wait, the West Bengal government finally reopened the Utsashree Portal for teacher transfers. This portal was reopened on 1st July 2026. The main aim behind the launch of this portal is to provide transfer facilities to Teaching and non-teaching staff of Government and government-aided schools.

This service is now available on the official portal banglarshiksha.wb.gov.in/utsashree. Teachers use this portal for general transfer, mutual transfer, and special ground transfer Applications. With this portal, you can check eligibility, benefits, and the status of your application. So you can use this portal for various purposes related to Transfer.

Utsashree Portal for Teachers Transfer

This portal stopped working on 29th September 2022. After that, the portal suspension was extended from time to time. When the government is scheduled in West Bengal, this portal’s services are restored, and it starts working again. On 30th June 2026, the School Education Department, Elementary Education and Secondary Education branches, released a notification for the restoration of this portal. The Utsashree Portal for Teacher Transfers will start operating in all categories under the rules. Under this portal, you can apply for transfers like General transfer, Mutual transfer, and Special ground transfer; applications will be submitted through this portal.

Rules for Teacher Transfer (Mutual)

• School in witch any teacher want transfer, must currently have a vacant position.
• If you are posted in another district, then you can apply for transfer.
• If you get any order on the basis of a government notification, then you can apply for transfer.

Rules for Teacher Transfer on Medical Grounds

• If the distance between your school and residence is more than 25 kilometres, then you are eligible to apply on medical grounds.
• Female teachers with children aged less than 10 years are eligible to apply for transfer.
• If any teacher suffer form any serious Disease, eligible to apply for transfer.
• If any teacher’s age is above 57 years, they are also eligible for transfer.
• There is another category also available in which you can apply for transfer.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply for Teacher Transfer

• Applicants currently confirmed and serving in the present school on the post for the last 5 years.
• Age of the applicant is within 59 years.
• In the case of secondary school, the posting of the applicant should be more than 25 KM.
• Primary school teachers are not allowed to apply within the same circle.
• Teaching or non-teaching staff are not allowed to apply for transfer before the 5-year completion at one place.
• If any transfer application is rejected, then the person can apply after the completion of 7 years.
• If any employee is suspended, involved in any Judicial proceedings, disciplinary proceedings or involved in financial irregularities, they are not allowed to apply for transfer.

Utsashree Portal for Teachers Transfer Application Online / Login

Eligible teachers can submit their application on the official website. The registration will start with some information, and we will explain this process in detail.

• Visit the Main Portal banglarshiksha.wb.gov.in/utsashree.
• When you reach on the home page, then choose the option to Apply for Transfer.

• On this page, eligibility criteria and document details are mentioned. Read them carefully and then agree to the terms and conditions, and then choose the Proceed button.

• A new Page ot teacher login will open on the screen. On this page, teachers have to log in with details like choosing the OSMS Type, Teacher Unique Code (OSMS 8 Digit Code), then entering the PAN Card number of the teacher and filling the captcha code. Hit the login button and wait for 1 second.

• After logging in, fill the application form, choose the transfer reason, attach all necessary documents and apply for your Transfer.

Utsashree Portal Teachers Transfer Status Check

If you have already applied for the Teachers Transfer on the Utsashree Portal, then the next step is to check the status of your application.

• Visit the Login page banglarshiksha.wb.gov.in/utsashree/page/login.php.
• Log in with the credentials used at the time of registration/Apply Process.
• When you log in successfully, your application status for transfer is shown on your screen. You can check if your application is on hold, approved or rejected.
