The State Government of West Bengal started a new scheme, which is called the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme, for the women of the state. This scheme started officially from 1st June 2026 across West Bengal. This scheme is launched in place of the Old Running scheme in the state, which is known as the Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme. By officially rolling this scheme in the state, going to transfer Cash of Rs. 3,000 every month to the women of the state. The amount can be transferred through the Direct Benefits Transfer system. This is one of the biggest DBT schemes launched in favour of Women of West Bengal.

In this scheme, the government gives the benefits directly to the beneficiaries of the Old scheme, i.e., the Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme, after verification. But some of the women are not verified true beneficiaries in this scheme, that’s why the government started the New Registration for the Annapurna Bhandar at the social registry wb gov in. After rolling this scheme officially across West Bengal, the existing beneficiaries of the Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme migrated to the new scheme. To migrate the existing beneficiaries, government officials complete the verification. So all the women who are added to this new scheme do not need to submit a fresh application. But some of the beneficiaries in the scheme are found not eligible, some of them shifted from West Bengal, and some of them are found dead at the time of verification. So that’s why the government has now started the West Bengal Annapurna Bhandar Scheme new registration at socialregistry.wb.gov.in.

Features of Annapurna Bhandar

• Replace Old Scheme: This Annapurna Bhandar is a new scheme that replaces the Old scheme, the Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme.
• Financial Benefits: Every eligible women going to receive Rs 3,000 per month through the DBT Method from the government.
• Migrated from Old Scheme: The Government moved or migrated the existing Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme beneficiaries through verification in this new scheme.
• Who Needs New Registration: There are so many women who are found ineligible from this scheme, so if you think you are eligible, then complete the new registration.
• Additional Benefits: Not only 3K per month, but eligible women also get Free Bus Travel benefits in all state government buses.

Eligibility Criteria

• All women of West Bengal are beneficiaries of this new scheme.
• From each of the family, only one woman will be eligible to get benefits.
• Every woman must have the West Bengal permanent residence proof in her name.
• The age of the women must be between 25 and 60 years.
• The family of the woman must belong to the EWS or the Low Income group category.
• All women who are government employees or taxpayers are not eligible for this scheme.

Documents Required

• Copy of the Aadhaar Card of the woman showing complete details like Date of birth or Address.
• A ration card issued by the state government, it shows the Income category of the family.
• Voter Card and West Bengal Residential Proof Certificate.
• First Page copy of the Bank Passbook showing the complete Bank account number, Bank Branch Name and IFSC Code.
• Your Bank passbook must be linked with your Aadhar Card and with your mobile number.
• An income certificate of the family or a self-declaration certificate showing the complete income of the family.
• A passport-sized photograph, latest.

So before completing the registration, it is also important to check the eligibility of women, i.e. only the women who having age from 25 to 60 years will be eligible to complete the registration online using the official portal or can also complete their registration with the help of an offline camp organised by the government.

• Open Official Website: Online registration can be completed using the Social registry wb gov in.

• Select Citizen/Family Login Option: There are two options available on the home page of socialregistry.wb.gov.in. Select Citizen /Family Login.

• Applicant Login: On the next page, Select Your district, then enter your registered mobile number, and then request an OTP.

• OTP Sent: OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Verify your identity with OTP Verification.

• OTP Received: OTP will be sent from the side of WBGOVT. Enter this OTP in the Family Level data collection portal login.

• Add Details: Now, here you have to add the information of your Ration Card. By entering it, the complete family details appear here, and you also need to add the bank Details which are linked to your Aadhaar Card.
• Scan and Upload Documents: Now, add all the documents for your verification.
• Submit: once review all the details, submit it. After submitting the details, you get the application Number.

Annapurna Bhandar Scheme Registration Offline

• Get Application Form: If you are not comfortable submitting the online form, then you can download the application form from the portal available in every language. The Application Form was already released by the government on 27th May 2026, before the official implementation of the scheme.
• Through Camps: You can also get the application form from Camps and submit it to the same camps. Here, with the help of these camps, the government officials guide you to fill out the form. These camps will be organized on Panchayat, Block or Ward Level.

Important Notes: All the beneficiaries who automatically migrated to this scheme will start getting the benefits. But the new beneficiaries need to wait for some time because the official website is still under moderation and takes some time.
